Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has done early decision in the past or plans to. I really want to, but I have one pre-req left to do (gen chem II). Could I still apply without that one class if I meet all the other requirements for early decision? If not, what are my chances?

Undergrad GPA: 3.67
Pre-req GPA (w/o gen chem II): 3.53
GRE: V153 Q154 A4
Hours: 74 hr in-patient hospital, 25 hr outpatient hospital, currently PT aide with 50+ so far in a rehab clinic
Other qualifications: CA certified massage therapist and health educator (CMT), CPR certified

Thanks for you input,
Kristin

Hi Kristin,

According to Chapman's Profile:
"No more than two science courses and three prerequisite courses may be remaining after the fall semester in which the application is submitted. Applicants with the least remaining prerequisite course work may be given preference over other applicants."

It seems like you are able to apply but you have less of a chance than those that have completed all of their requirements. You can only apply to one school for early decision anyway, so it could not hurt. Also, you will still be in the same boat for the regular admissions cycle, as you will not have completed G Chem II until December.

You should still call Serena, the Admissions Coordinator, to confirm this information because sometimes information on websites can be outdated.

LOL it I didn't even notice that you post the reply. Thanks!

I talked to some other people and they said it shouldn't hurt my chances unless other people have all their classes done.

i was under the impression that all classes need to be done before you apply for early decision. *shrug* you should call them to get an exact answer.
