Hello everyone,
I am planning to apply to Pharm School 2012. I havent' finished all the applying process though. I'm kind of divided between the early and regular decision.
I prefer the early decision as i know there would be a higher chance to get in to the school. BUt if Im turned down, can i re-apply to that same school (and also other schools) right after that? So that I still have a chance to start Pharm program in 2012?

This is the most likely scenario for regular undergrad admission but I'm not sure if there is a deferred status for pharm schools or if early decision works in this manner:

ED Accepted -- have to put a deposit early on to save a seat

ED Deferred -- application is automatically put into the Regular Decision stack, and you'll be reconsidered by another college admissions panel

ED Rejected -- officially rejected, cannot reapply whatsoever

thanks, thats what i was worried 🙁 i might call the school and ask just to make sure 🙁

if that's the case i'll just stick with RD for many schools at the same time

It doesn't hurt to throw in a few schools that are early decision. The thing is you never know until you try. Good luck and keep up the good work! 🙂

You can only apply to one school for early decision through PharmCAS (but you're still free to apply to any other schools that don't use PharmCAS). You can't apply to any other schools (through PharmCAS), even regular decision, until you're rejected or deferred by your early decision school. If you're not accepted via early decision, you can then submit your app to as many other PharmCAS schools as you like.

Info here.

I didn't know PharmCAS limited early decision to one school. I will keep it in mind then.

Thank you everyone for the information 🙂
I will do regular decision for a couple of schools, mainly because i want more time to get a good resume, will be doing more extracurricular activiteis and volunteering before applying 🙂
