Early Early Decision?

Does anyone know if there is any advantage to applying early for the early decision process? I know that's a tough question to answer as it varies from school to school, I was just curious if anyone knew for sure if there is special consideration during the early application cycle based on when you get your application in.

Yes. In my case, some schools would use my application during the early application period then again for the regular period. It also looks good because it lets the school know you're serious about their school and that they're a priority. Note I did not use PTCAS for any of my applications.

After reading several posts, I've come to the assumption and agree on what @hulksmash2010 says. I just asked the same question in a different post with my predicament with planning on applying this cycle to schools around Texas.
