by getting these early interviews at non-state schools with rolling admissions, does it mean that the medical schools really like you and that they are more likely to accept you? i mean, wouldn't they put you off until later in the cycle if they weren't sure about you or would they interview you right away anyway?

i know there are other posts asking "does interviewing early help admissions chances" but what i want to know is "do schools (with rolling admissions) interview you earlier ONLY if they are very interested in you? or is it just because you're the next app on their pile?" (i got an interview at a top choice and i'm hoping they really like me 🙂 )

(long-winded question, i know)

I am curious about this too. Also, when is an interview date no longer considered early? Mid October?

that would be a school by school determination. some schools start much later than others.

no one knows? no one at least has any guesses?

It's true at Baylor and Texas Tech.

Let me make an amendment: this only counts for those who get their stuff in early.

thackl, which is true? it was a "THIS or THIS" -type question

Sorry😱

It means your are high on the list. And again, for you great applicants who did not get their stuff in early, don't be offend by missing the 1st round.
