Hey there guys!!
Just wondering.....
Does the "early application" thing is really advantageous?
A friend of mine applied pretty early (mid July) but will not take his DAT before november? Are the adcoms going to hold his application until they get them....??
Thanks for replying soon.

Yes, applying early - combined with taking the DAT early - is advantageous. Part of the reason has to do with AADSAS and their timing: the more applications they receive, the longer it will take them to crank them out to the schools. The second reason is that since many schools have a rolling admissions process getting your application in early (as opposed to say December) will get it across the desks of adcoms before they have a major onslaught of similar looking files. A few schools might consider your friend's file if he has a very good gpa, LOR's, and a personal statement, but I think that most schools wait until everything is in, including DAT scores, before they will give an applicant any serious consideration.
