easy biology classes

I think genetics was pretty reasonable. I got an A-, but that's cuz I had a health problem that semester and was having a hard time with school.

Advanced Graduate Topics in Biochemistry.

Just kidding.

Seriously, herpetology. It's a little bit of everything, but not in depth enough to be even remotely difficult. You get some ecology, some evolution, some organ systems, some behavior, and memorization of local species by picture, etc. Plus who don't like frogs and lizards?

Research, if your school allows you to take upper division credit for it.

I personally find research to be very enjoyable -- plus its without all the stresses about sets and exams 👍

I second the directed research route. If your school offers that option--go for it. You would have to write up your proposal (and your PI will have to help you with that), meet with your PI, keep a notebook, all the usual fare. Depending on the lab, you might have to do a presentation, but all in all I didn't find any of it too stressful. Also some programs might require you to write a final paper, but regardless, you have no final, and you learn skills that could prove very useful to you (not to mention you would rack up that research experience).

Beats the $hit out of botany or ecology. 🙁 My brother's dad is a herpetologist. He's got this farm/preserve thing in one of the Carolinas that is apparently pretty neat.

It depends largely on the school. I'd say to ask some upperclassmen bio majors what they'd recommend as easy classes. For example, some classes that are easy here are really hard at other schools.

If you take a class that you think is *really* cool, you'll have an easier time remembering everything and probably ace it.

I took a "hard" neuro class but thought it was easy since I really liked it.

go to ratemyprofessors.com, look up your school's biology faculty, and find the one everybody loves. take the class that they're teaching.

or, if your school has them, take a primary lit based seminar class. those are awesome, and typically don't have exams. plus, they can be really interesting.

totally depends on the school and what you think is "easy." Some classes might be all papers/take home tests and others all multiple choice. If you excell at one versus the other go with that. Generally the information isn't too tough, but also look at ratemyprofessors.com which can give you a good idea about the classes and professors at your school. G'luck!

Truer words were never spoken.
