I guess it's that time of the year... I have tried to read up on other posts regarding EC's, but couldn't quite find my answers.

Basically I worked full-time(50+) hours during my freshman/soph/junior years, got more serious worked 25-30 hours during senior year and 15-25 during my post bacc..... then quit to study for the MCAT....as far as filling out paid work ..... i've had various jobs that span that time period, which all are not related to medicine. Do I list contact information for the last job or the longest lasting job?... obviously in my description I am going to in detail describe the jobs and that sort of stuff, I am just confused on the actually entry.

Also, as far as publications and poster presentations, do you just cite the poster and what conference it was presented at? Should you also provide a a mini abstract of the project?

And, does anyone have any example of descriptions they filled out. Should it be more systematic or reflective?

I never worked in undergrad, but, personally, I would document all 'significant' work related experiences. For example, if I only talked to my boss to say hello and goodbye, then I probably wouldn't put that. Put stuff that made an effect, but again, it's up to you.

As far as posters, I did put a mini-abstract in the description after writing the date and location of the presentation, but keep it as short as possible.

Put all E.Cs. that you "gained" something from and keep all descriptions concise and constructive. If it's a known organization/position, less elaboration is needed, but if it's something that is not widely known, I would provide a very brief/concise description of your position and duties and what you gained.

As for posters, I'm not sure. For publications I know they want the journal it was published in and a proper citation, ie. 1st AU, 2nd AU, 3rd AU, title, etc. I'd go with what Flushot mentions as it makes sense and it's not something they can easily reference anyway. Probably date, location, subject and your contributions? Not really sure.
