Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if anybody had any good links to websites where I could learn how to read echocardiograms better? I'm on elective right now and the attending went over the basics but I think I need to spend more time looking them over. So any suggestions?
Thanks!

I would recommend purchasing Dubin's! Otherwise, here is a good quick''n'dirty primer: http://students.med.nyu.edu/erclub/ekgguide.pdf

echos or ekg?

Yeah... Get Dubin's but I heard that dude is a child molester. Maybe buy a used copy as to not give royalties to a pervert?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just realized you wanted help with echos. My bad.

Uptodate has great files on Echos. I spent my summer doing doing echo research and learned about the process directly from UTD. I'd suggest reading the one about the Physics of Echos to give yourself a basis about M-mode and DTI etc etc

Thanks! I'll take a look at UTD once i get to the hospital monday!🙂
