How important is it to be involved with clubs at your college? I am fully involved with one club on campus but thats about it. I volunteer at the hospital, teach CPR classes, do research, and have a EMT job all outside my college campus. Is it necessarily bad that I am not involved with many clubs on campus?

It's not imperative that you join any clubs, as long as you have other meaningful EC's. Your hospital volunteer and EMT job are great clinical experiences, research is good, and the CPR classes sound cool. It's not necessary that you join any clubs, although I think a lot of students join them because they're fun AND they can provide good leadership opportunities, which many top schools like to see. It's better to have a meaningful role within one club than to just be a random member in a bunch of clubs. So join another club if it interests you and/or you'd like to run for a leadership role, but don't do it just to do it. Hope this helps.

Agree with the above.

Usually, clubs are for your interests and for leadership roles. If you want to go above and beyond, some people do take initiatives and start new organizations.

1) Not at all, so long as you have hobbies/stress relievers and/or interests where you interact with people.

2) I doubt it will have any negative impact on your application, considering your other activities. Taking on a leadership role or engaging in public service within the one club you've joined would add a positive impact.
