EDP Deferral

If you apply EDP and get deferred when will you application be re-reviewed? I have been told that it will not be looked again until the end of the cycle, which is basically a death sentence (esp. with rolling admissions). It has already been a month since my deferral and others that just applied RD like a week ago are getting invites. Did I screw myself applying EDP?

Not sure how it works at every school but the school I am going to reviews those old files again and makes decisions on them again after they get a better picture of the upcoming class. They dont wait until the very end. I am not sure how often they go back and review previous apps though.
