So I've heard you can major in anything you want as long as you fulfill the Pre-Med Requisites; however, does this include majors such as Education. It sounds like a sound backup plan in case Medical School doesn't work out or perhaps if I want to teach in the future. All insight is welcome.

As long as you can fit in all the med school prereqs, I don't see why it would be a problem. Speaking as a complete non-expert, I'm guessing that it could work to your advantage because it (a) stands out and (b) demonstrates an interest in working with/helping people, even if it is in a non-medical way.

You can major in anything you want - just do well in your pre-reqs and get a high GPA.

Just an FYI --- education can be a tough, very time consuming major, especially when you get to your student teaching, so make sure you're really interested in it before hand.
