Hello,
First post was zapped so I'm trying again. You're lucky; this one will be shorter. DD is a H.S. junior, excellent grades (4.0 u.w.), will have 9 AP's (5.0 on all taken thus far), all around good student. Anyway, we don't get a lot of guidance counselor help. In fact, if we hadn't done some research, we'd never have heard SAT II's mentioned as possibly needed for some undergrad admissions. Anyway, here's the question: DD would like to apply to UF pharmacy school after two years. Must she come from UF as an undergrad or will any florida university do. I guess I'm trying to say is there an obvious admissions advantage coming from UF. I think she can get into UF, that's not the issue ... but we live next door to UCF, and their honors program offers full priority scheduling for all honors students for every class for four years. I do not believe that's the case at UF. And in today's current budget crunch climate, I know how difficult it can sometimes be to get the classes you need or want. DS is at UCF and he's had such an easy time with scheduling via the Burnett Honors College. So, I'm trying to figure out ... if all things are equal in terms of admission preference would it be better to have her attend UCF for two years and then apply to UF or if UF students get priority should we go that route? Any who have dealt with this scenario ... love your advice!!
Thanks,
Zebes
