I just got the email. It made an otherwise uneventful day at work very exciting. I am abut 90% sure I am going there. An acceptance of the waitlist at Pitt is going to be hard to refuse if it happens. I just think that on the whole I would be happier at Einstein than at Pitt.
"What did you guys think about student happiness at the school? I didn't get to meet too many current students at my interview cause they had a test."
The students I met there were really friendly! Eg. When I was waiting outside the office of my interviewer, a student passing by sat down and chatted with me about the school for about ten minutes telling me how much she loved it there. That was pretty cool. Overall, the class seems to be "tighter" then at some of the other schools I've visited this year.
i would love to go to aecom and i was placed on the waiting list after my interview in january i got it in march. i was really bummed b/c i would love to go there. i called them yesterday and they said that if you are put on the waiting list you shouldn't hear till july (earliest!). i was super bummed after the call. do you guys think i should write a letter of interest? any suggestions???
if u weren't a part of the first "wave" of rejections off the waitlist, i think you are in decent shape. if you're sure einstein is your first choice, i would definitely write them a letter of intent. hopefully, there is a decent amount of waitlist movement this year and the people who pesker them seem to be the ones that got in in previous years. good luck!!!!
hi snoopy---do you mean that there have actually been people who were placed on the waiting list post interview and then later rejected??? i didn't know that...or were they rejected straight post interview? just wondering...i think i will try to write them a letter this week!
nygirl: there are definitely people who were placed on the waitlist post-interview that have already been rejected. can think of tedstriker off the top fo my head. check out the einstein countdown thread when u get a chance.
