2025-2026 Einstein

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Einstein has 165 seats in the class. Most medical schools need to give more offers than seats. With free tuition I imagine their yield is high but it is probably not 100%.
NYU for instance offers about 130-150 acceptances to fill a class of 100. I'd imagine the numbers are similar if not slightly lower yield for Einstein

Does enstein accept pre-ii updates? I've been finding conflicting information on here/reddit and haven't been able to find much on their website/application portal. Thank you!

Do you mind me asking how you confirmed that? Thanks again
Only Post-II letters are accepted according to MSAR.

I would post a screenshot to confirm, but I don't want to get sued for everything I have and potentially thrown in the slammer by the AAMC for violating a copyright agreement

Do they send a separate email with a Zoom link for the interview? And is the interview day just the one interview?

I got three emails:
1. Zoom link to Q+A with students (I think I had to express interest in this)
2. Zoom link to Interview
3. Zoom link to a virtual event the afternoon of my interview (optional)

As far as I can tell, the only part of the day that you must attend is the hour-long interview.

I interviewed at Einstein earlier today. Had some extenuating circumstances arise prior to the interview, long story short I was really distracted during my interview and was not able to represent myself as well as I would have liked. Is it worth requesting a second interview? I would be interviewing in January, but I'm thinking since Einstein releases decisions in March it should not matter when I interview? HELP

I think it’s worth it! Not many schools allow for the second interview chance so it would be good to take the opportunity rather than potentially asking yourself what if. Wishing you luck!

Edit: I asked for a re-interview solely because I didn’t fully vibe with my interviewer and they granted me the re-interview, no questions asked

@BlahBlah123456 they are open to reinterviews. I doubt it would negatively impact your application. Just explain what the circumstance was and I am sure they would honor the request.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm thinking since Einstein doesn't really have a rolling admissions process it shouldnt matter when you interview. I'll take it

Has anyone had any luck uploading an update letter to their portal system? Uploaded one 3 weeks ago but never received confirmation of receipt despite the website saying I would automatically. Portal also states to refrain from emailing/calling office to confirm they got it, but like I said its been 3 weeks and no"automatic" acknowledgement yet.

What’s the attire for their real talks?
Casual! It's just a meeting with the students and they emphasized that they aren't part of the decision. Just a chance to ask any questions you had. I think I wore a polo or something

forgot to explicitly confirm my interview for monday? am i screwed?
What are the odds I did the same EXACT thing. Email ASAP and confirm, you will be fine. I emailed as soon as I remembered and got a response early Monday morning saying that I was all set and thanks for confirming. Didn’t affect my interview at all.

Now whether they want to mark that against me on my application, idk but that’s all you can do now.

How do we confirm our interview??

Did anyone else receive an email that a secondary app was not submitted... even though I never received a secondary?

Anyone know which portal I should upload my "thank you" letter to (a.k.a., the interview or secondary one)? Also, should I bcc the associate dean or just send directly to my interviewer alone?

I emailed my thank you directly as my interviewer gave me her email.

I sent an update letter and the instruction say "You will receive an automatic acknowledgement upon receipt of your update; please refrain from calling or emailing the Admissions Office to confirm receipt of your update." I never got an receipt of my update..... and I can't call or email the admissions office to confirm.... Anyone else have this issue? Did you receive a receipt of update confirmation?

Same thing. I got the text on the website itself saying it had been submitted, iirc it was a red text at the bottom of the page. I take it this is the "confirmation of receipt", rather than an email. Not very confidence inducing lol. But with how insistent they are about refraining from confirming with them, I guess I'll just trust that it works lol.
