EK Biology Review book Q57 (2007 edition)

Which of the following structures in found in prokaryotes?

I know they have a cell wall and ribosomes but they do not have a nucleus, mitochondria, ER, plasma membrane or any other kind of membrane bound organelles.

The answer explanation says that prokaryotes also have a plasma membrane without cholestrol and that's why choice D is the correct answer. I am confused about this.

Prokaryotes lack membrane-bound organelles, but they do have hopanoid-containing plasma membranes, similar to eukaryotes.
