So, any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm taking my mcat Sept. 1(a little over 3 months away) and I have the EK full set and TBR full set. I started studying a few days ago and I am struggling to effectively study. I try to read TBR chapter and cross reference with the EK chapter and do my own notes on the side but I don't think my notes on the side are helping but instead taking time up. I also try to do 2-3 EK 101 verbal passages on the side.

Can anyone provide input on how to effectively maximize my time? I'm thinking of making notes in the books/highlighting stuff and making flashcards on ANKI moving forward and supplementing with that from the passages from TBR.

As many posters will tell you AFTER they have taken the MCAT, the most important thing is passages. Spending time reviewing and cross-referencing and then taking more notes may give you a good sense of completion, but it is not as beneficial as jumping into passages, getting things wrong, and learning from your mistakes.

I'd echo the advice already given. My advice to students is typically to encourage students to start passages sooner than when they think they're ready. It's too easy to say "oh, I'll take those passages once I go over everything one more time." Definitely go over the material at some point, but make sure you budget enough time to go over each passage in depth. Oftentimes, students do a great deal of gap filling through passages ("oh THAT's what that concept means," or "oh that term wasn't in the book, but now that makes sense")
