Maybe we can start posting our scores to see which ones are actually representative of the real test, which ones are too hard/too easy...
I'll start with the few I did this week:

EK Physics 1: 11
EK Verbal 1: 13
EK Biology 1: 11
EK Verbal 2: 11

My verbal scores look pretty good compared to how I've been practicing. Verbal 2 has a ridiculous passage at the end, and some weird reasoning for correct answers, but the actual stuff I learned in Verbal Lesson 2 was a huge eye-opener 😱

Chem Lecture 1: 13...
made two stupid mistakes, General Chem looks like my strong point so far.

Verbal 1: 12 / Verbal 2: 11
Physics 1: 15 Physics 2: 13
GChem 1: 11
Biology 1: 10

I know it's tempting, but it's near meaningless to try to use these test scores as a gauge of which represent the "real test." EK themselves will tell you that these scores are pretty much meaningless, the scale is somewhat arbitrary, and all that counts is a full-length timed test, all sections. The in-class tests are generally designed to be more challenging than the mix of questions found on the real MCAT.

If you feel good about posting good scores, then great. But don't try to extrapolate or predict from those.

And, if you're reading this but didn't want to post your 5/6/7 whatever, don't be discouraged.

Im scoring 10-12 on these tests. My goal is to score 11 or higher in each section on the real mcat. It seems like Im having a hard time putting in as much time as Id like to on MCAT study.... Im more busy than I expected I would be and also more lazy.

always have to s*hit on the parade, don't you ? 😉 🙂

I did not do the 30 minute practice tests until I reviewed everything 3 times. On the real deal my scores reflected the averages from the 30min exams. Also the sections I scored 7-8 on Phys and chem were consistently my weak areas on AAMC diagnostics. I spent my last 2-3 weeks going over only those 4-5 topics and felt pretty solid walking into the exam. I think I averaged about a 8/9 on the PS(phys/chem) combined but managed a 10 on the real deal. BS(bio/orgo) averaged around a 12 and verbal around 10 and received those scores on the real deal as well.

So if you are scoring 9 or below then don't worry too much about it if you have not gone over the material many times. Spend extra time on your weakest subjects/topics.

If you are scoring 9+ consistently without multiple reviews or took the prereq recently you are in great shape but you still need to find your weakest are and work on that.

sweet... thanks for the advice

i have lost all motivation to work on EK... I have to force myself tomorrow, will post, otherwise everyone scold me

Hunter, a 32 on the MCAT is a pretty solid score to apply to M.D. schools with, no offense but why DO?

I just finished the Chemistry stuff. I only read the material twice though.
I got an average of 9. The scores varied from 8-12. I am trying the physics stuff and basically sucking at it. I am getting 9 as highest and 6 as the lowest. Hopefully will do better once I get the 1001 questions done too.
Verbal 8-12. Did 3R got 10 and did Kaplan CD test got a 10. Other practice exams linger between 8-10. So far I feel like ****. I need to make a decision for the April MCAT. Next week, I am starting the Biological Sciences section with Biology and Orgo. Those are my strong points so hopefully will do better.
Even if I get 9 on each one, should be ok for DO school, right ?

from what I've read you'd be in great shape for DO schools

I have a 3.2 GPA so I was considering a post-bacc program to be more competitive for MD schools. I did not know about osteopathic schools until going on SDN and after shadowing some DOs and spending time in an osteopathic hospital I decided it was a better fit for me so I only applied DO. It's a little more complex than that but I'm happy with my decision.

EK Physics Test Lesson 2: 19/23 12

Projected MCAT score so far: PS 12 VR 12 BS 11
I'd be fine with that as my lowest possible. I'm really starting to itch to get through these and take a real full-length MCAT to see how much these projections are worth.

EK Biology Test 2: 12

Hopefully doing a quick Verbal tomorrow might build up some steam. I promised myself not to do any full-length exams until I finish all of EK, so I want to get through these quickly...although once I hit Orgo I have a feeling things will slow down again

Wow... Verbal Test 3 kicked my ass. I got a nice 8. I was reading through the lesson that goes with it, and I thought that this is the greatest strategy in the world! I was so excited I though I would get all 15's from that point on... and I got my lowest score. Well, Verbal is done though, I'm gonna lay off of doing any of it until I'm done with all of the EK lesson books and take a couple full lengths.

This is quickly turning in to a personal blog of mine, but I like to keep track of these things for my own records. Wouldn't mind company though!

Bio Lesson Test 3: 17/23 for a 10... hopefully this is not a trend I need 12's in everything 😀

i do terribly on those EK tests but then I do the AAMCs and do well. I dont see the point of doing the EK tests really. Now I'm just doing the EK tests in the "16 mini MCATs" book along with AAMC tests. Doing badly on the weekly tests was lowering my confidence and standardized tests are mostly about confidence anyway.

I'm scoring 9's on EK; I had trouble losing the baby weight after both kids; my son is almost 2 and only has 20 words; but as I have just proven, I don't lie on message boards. Here's to all of you out there scoring 9 and below on your EKs! And to all of you whose children don't learn to read at 18 months! Seriously, go check out parenting message boards sometime if you wanna see some psychotic bragging/lying....

I don't know what to make of your post, but if you are trying to call me out then I can only take that as a complement considering you got a 37 yourself... and why are you studying EK at this point anyway ?

Good God, the EK tests are sucking the life from me. Can I get some facts (read: plural of anecdotes accepted here) that would prove someone doing poorly on the EK tests but doing well on the real deal?

EK Physics Lesson Test 3 (I've been slacking) : 10

I missed a major point on this (like KE and PE for falling objects include their horizontal velocities (DOH!)) which cost me 2 scale points... better I get this now than later.

EK Physics Lesson Test 5 4/27/2006 20/23 12
EK Biology Lesson Test 5 4/28/2006 18/23 11

Here are my scores from the last month, I hope to get through the whole program before spring/summer classes start May 8, I got all of Gen Chem out of the way since I was taking Gen Chem II this semester and figured doing it at the same time would work to my advantage (BTW: A in the class)

I'm not going to take a real full-length until I get done with all of the EK, which will be in one-two weeks or so... I'll probably take one of the AAMC 4-6 to make myself feel happy, and I hope for 12's on all sections
