EK Verbal.. HELP!!

So I gave up on the Kaplan verbal strategy after doing horrible on my first MCAT take. I got the strategy book and started doing some of the passages in there after reading up on their strategies. I must admit I do like them a lot more than what I did before, but it seems like as soon as I apply them to the real passages, I just can't follow up on what I was doing while initially reading about their techniques.

Am I missing something??? Can someone PM me to help me out since I guess we cant talk about copyrighted stuff on the forums...
