"For which one of the following conclusions does the passage offer the least support"

The answer key stated that the answer choice has to both be unsupported and a conclusion that is asserted in the passage. I'm not quite sure if I buy that though.. This question seems identical to the question form "which one of these can you not infer based on the passage?," where the inferences are not necessarily stated in the passage.

To me, a better question would be something like "which one of the author's assertions are least supported?"

Anyways, I'm asking to see whether people who have taken the AAMCs or the real MCAT have any insight as to how these sorts of things are worded. Right now it seems pretty ambiguous to me.

I remember this exact question in EK and did also think it was ambiguous.. but when you break it down, it's not that bad. The question isn't asking "Which of the following has the least support in the passage" but is asking directly about conclusions the author made.

Should probably have inserted the word 'author's' conclusions to make it wholly unambiguous but you shouldn't worry much about that since I doubt AAMC would have a similar question type.
