Hey all,

I was curious as to what you guys know about electives offered in pod school. I am going to DMU this fall and they have a list of last years electives up for everyone to look at. Have any other DMU'ers checked them out? Is it recommended to take electives your first year? If so, which ones would the current DMU'ers recommend?

Thanks guys!

i see no real reason to take any electives, at least not the ones offered to first years. they are not pod specific, and there are better things to do with your time. then again, they are pass/fail, but still.

I don't have an specific recommendations but DMU does offer a good variety of classes that are very informative. I don't think I would say there are better things do to then learn things that are of interest to you. If you have the time and ability to take them on and they are things that could be beneficial to you, then you should go for it. There is never anything wrong with learning something, even if it might be outside your chosen career path. I have been very impressed with what all DMU offers. I think they do a great job at providing students with opportunities to develop themselves outside of the normal Pod School curriculum.

i absolutely agree with everything you said. If it interests you, do it. If you are only interested in taking a class to put on your CV, think about it more.
