My science GPA isn't too great, so I was looking for some classes I could take to boost that up. My advisor recommended basic astronomy or man's food. They're both easy, but they're very low level classes and I'm afraid of it looking badly on my transcript. I'm already signed up for Biochemistry and Genetics, so I don't want to try to tackle a third hard core class in the same semester. I was looking into some higher level easy psychology classes that seem pretty interesting for my major, but my main question is this:

Would it be better to take the higher level Psychology courses (not counted towards BCPM) or should I take easy science courses that count towards BCPM?

Thanks for the imput!

I'd leave the BCPM consideration out of it. If you're already taking two difficult classes, it's not going to help to pile on more hard courses. If you can take an easy class that also helps BCPM, I think that's the way to go. Obviously, it's not going to help anything if you take a bunch of difficult classes and stretch yourself too thin, so I'd balance the schedule. Of course, you're in the best position to decide how hard is too hard...

Reading that while watching reruns of The Office = perfection.

To the OP - one course probably isn't going to change your GPA dramatically, no matter what it is, but if you want to take a course you can do well in, the best advice I can give you is to take something that really sounds interesting to you. Do you have a stronger interest in psych, astronomy, or something else?

Honestly, if you have biochem and genetics on your transcript for next, I doubt your schools will care much about what your other class is, and the best favor you can do for yourself is to not get weighted down and stressed out.
