Hi guys!
I am staying an extra semester this fall at the University of Minnesota to take some more upper division courses since I did not get in this year and I am on the wait list for Illinois. I am signed up for anatomy, physiology, and veterinary entomology. All of these classes are at the 3000 level.

For my fourth class I am conflicted on what course to take. I have not taken many 4000 level classes so I feel I should maybe take one of those. The courses I am trying to choose between are Developmental Biology (4000 biology level), Animal Communication (4000 biology level) and Reproductive Biology in Health and Disease (3000 animal science course).Obviously I want to do well in this last semester and I heard vet entomology is easy, and so is the repro biology class.

Anyone with advice on electives I should take?

Ohhh, Vet entomology sounds fun. I took a General Entomology course and loved it.

As for what you should take, just pick something that sounds interesting to you or that you know for sure is taught by a good professor. I didn't really think I'd like entomology that much and took it to fit a category requirement and because I loved the professor. Turns out, it was one of my all time favorite classes. I'd use something along those lines to pick your elective. If it's interesting to you and you the like the professor, you're more likely to do well in than just taking something to because it will look good.

If you want something that is going to be immediately beneficial to you in vet school, Dev Bio might be the way to go, although I found the majority of it to be rather boring in vet school.
