Electrical Potential on a point in space

Hey guys!

I am really having trouble with this question and I am looking for help and a possible explanation to go along with it.

The question reads as follows:

The net charge of a particular charge is “x”. If three copies of this charge are
equidistant from point A, what is the electric potential at A?

The answers are as follows: 0, kx/r, kx/r^2, 3kx/r

What would the answer be and how did you reach that answer

Just use the formula for potential as V = kQ/r

In this case Q = x.

The potential of each point charge adds.

V = 3(kX/r) = 3kx/r

What is confusing? Did you just not know the formula?
