eligibility period extension request being processed???

Hi guys...
Ok so I had to extend my eligibility period. Exam was scheduled for Aug 31st but I went ahead today and extended it because of ect ect family matters I have to take care the same week of my exam. Only thing concerning me now is that I was told I have to wait 10 business days to get the request processed and then another 5 days (or up to 5 days) to get emailed the new exam permt. So my question is .. what about the date I booked on Aug 31st? Do I need to wait until my request is processed to cancel the date I booked at the prometric or cancel when I get the new permit?
What happens if it's the day before Aug 31st and I still haven't gotten the permit? I should go ahead cancel Aug 31st as my booked date on the prometric site anyway, right? Little confused ..any ideas? Thx

Don't worry. You will get email by this week. I extended it on Sunday and today I got email "Your Updated Scheduling Permit is Available."

Yes, I plan on seeing what happens in the next few days and if no email...I will definitely give 'em a call. I don't think my nerves can wait too long. Thanks.

That's great and encouraging to hear.
I really hope to hear something before this weekend. Then at least I can rest assure it's done. One question though... Do I have to call the Prometric center to cancel the date I scheduled or can I just do that online? I tried calling once to ask a question but instead all I got was a machine giving me hrs and directions to the center and there was no option to personally speak to anyone. So I am wondering if you had to personally call them to take care of that when you extended your eligibility period.

Thank you so much. I recived an email the very same night I paid for the extension and it mentioned that I should be receiving the new permit within a week. After that I will go online and cancel the old scheduled date. Thanks again for your input.
