Elon and Duke - non Early-Decision

Has anyone who is a non-ED applicant to Duke and Elon gotten any interviews? I was browsing through PTCAS and saw that Elon's first interviews were on 9/23, but am not sure if those interviews are for ED or non-ED folks.

As for Duke, there is no mention of interview dates on its PTCAS page. I know that a few people have been accepted into the program already.

I am curious to know when those schools will start inviting the non-ED folks over.

I have an interview at Elon in december. I don't remember the exact date I heard from them, but it was within a week of when my app was sent out by PTCAS. I remember because I was surprised I would hear from anyone sooo fast about an interview!

- when did you send your application to PTCAS?
- if you go into PTCAS now and click on "My Application", then on "PT Designations" (in the Status square on the right), what do you see next to Elon's name?

I sent my application to PTCAS on 8/25. And when I go into my application now, it shows "New" next to Elon's and Duke's names. I read on this board that "New" means that your application is available to the schools but has not been looked at yet, "Incomplete" means that they have looked at your application but have not taken any decision. So if the above is correct, your app's status should show as "Incomplete".

Mine still says "new" and I've already been accepted and sent in my deposit to make it 100% official...so I wouldn't read into those indications too much

Hey! I got an interview at Elon, as well, in December. On PTCAS all of mine still say new even though I've gotten invited to two interviews from schools. So, I'm not sure how that works! I didn't do early decision and submitted my PTCAS on 9/8. They were processed and sent out on 9/27 and I heard from Elon within the week. I know Elon has several interview dates as they fill up spots. I don't know about Duke but I would agree with Kcrat about the indications. It all just takes some time. Mine was sent out by PTCAS on 8/27 and I checked the email from Elon and I received the interview invite within a week. My status on PTCAS still says "new" as well.

On a related matter, I have a friend who is applying to PA School for entry in 2012 (like us). He tells me that some folks have already received rejection letters... Yikes!

For those of us who interviewed at Elon on 12/2, I think today is the day where we get notified of the results. Check your email or voicemail...

I got the nod, too. I think Elon is an excellent school, and the new facilities are first-class. I also like its long clinical training. The only cons I can think of is the tuition (but all private schools are in the same ballpark), and the later start date compared to other schools.

Oh hey! Haha, well congrats to you about Elon! I actually didn't apply to Duke. I'm from Alabama, so Elon was just a school I came across in applying and thought I would try for. Good luck, though!

I interviewed the same day as you and also have not heard from Duke yet. It's making me feel better that others havent heard.

I do think so. There's 4 of us on this forum who havent heard anything. And I've heard Duke is often a day or so late. I know we're all stressing about it, but try to stay calm!!!

Duke received my materials at the beginning of October and I still haven't heard anything regarding interview status =/
