I would like ask you all emergency guys in this question. I am a FMG with complete US training abroad, passed my USMLEs many years ago, of course as a FMG even could not think about EM residency, though that idea was bothering me all the time.
Now completed 2 years of surgery, doing some research now, but got my State medical license. On one occassion met a guy who is a cheif emergency physician in a group small private hospitals. He told if I am really interested in EM he can offer me a job as an Emergency physician (NOT Urgent Care, no asistant but physician) with some inital supervision by a senior staff then if I do alright I can work more independently. Besides after some time he told it will have a good chance to be accepted into EM residency to be come Boarded.
What is your opinion about this, guys? Sounds to good to be truth, isn't it?Please any of your opinion will be interesting. Please help with advice....
