EM rotation grading-I need advice

I need some advice. I just recently completed a EM away rotation. I received my grade from them, pass, which they indicated on the SLOR. However, they also commented that my school only does P/F grading (not honors) and that if they had, I would have received a high pass. Is there something i can do to change the grade they put on the SLOR? I don't really care what my medical school puts down (since it is only pass/fail) but now my SLOR from them will say pass only. (with a comment below it).

Any advice from anyone??!!! I first just saw the pass, and was really bummed out because I thought I worked very hard on that rotation. However, once I saw that, I felt much better but I would like my SLOR to indicate the correct grade. Any input would be great if anyone has been in this situation. I am a DO student looking at CA programs, so I need as much help as I can get.

Agreed. Fear not. I know that last year when we were reviewing applications, it wasn't necessarily "every box" that mattered on the SLOR, but it was the "general feeling" of the LOR. Believe me, you can tell when a SLOR is "bad," "neutral," or GREAT! Its not every box but you can tell when a person is writing a quick one with little meaning and just checks every box, compared to a LOR that has details and a paragraph explaining everything.

THanks for the feedback. What exactly entails an excellent SLOR? This one I had mostly excellents on everything and then 3-4 sentences at the end. Sorry for all the questions, I just have absolutely no idea.
Also, the thing about the SLORs above was that the letter from the PD had the comment on it about my school only having P/F, and the other letter, from another faculty member, only has pass on it with no explanation.

also, when they check the "possible match" box, does that have any significance?

Nah, bro, go have a beer, relax.

I'm not sure, but its more of a feel. However, i got called out once. I read one SLOR and told my PD "This has got to be the greatest LOR on earth." He looked at it, laughed out loud and said "I know Dr. X, this letter means he didn't like the student."
