USUHS screens so we wont all get them

Don't worry, their "screening" is not that bad, and it's still very early in the game. Good luck to you all 🙂

USUHS pays you active duty pay while you're in school. I would imagine if someone already knew they would do HPSP, then why not go for more money and just apply to USUHS?

The committment is greater, plus I don't exactly like to have to wear a uniform to class. Also, aren't you pretty much committing to a career in military medicine?

That's just me, and that's why i'm doing the HPSP

hi

so i have not gotten an email from them.
are they coming in over time? or did i get "screened out"?

hmmm

the inital screening is only to make sure you meet the minimum requirements for admission, US residence, etc.
at least that's what i thought.

that's what i thought...but who knows.

I am female too! my friend is there and told me they def need more women to apply.

is it online? with a link that you know of?

i talked to them about 5 minutes ago. they have only been screening primary apps for a week or so..and the initial screening (minimum req) is pretty bare boned..so EVERYONE should get a secondary (if you dont meet the mins why are you applying to med school!???)

FYI minimum criteria:

20 mcat
2.7 gpa
must finish Bach by time of medical school (duh)
Us resident
pre-med coursework
