I heard yale path PD sends out email to interview candidates they are interested in at the beginning of each month after the faculties discussed all interviewees who visited their program last month
Has anyone got such kind of email?😕 :scared:

Don't know about that, but they stressed heavily that if YOU are interested in them, then YOU should keep in contact with them. Anyway, it's still the beginning of the month, so if he does send out such a message, it may still be coming.

your reply. One of my friends who has interview in yale path has got such kind of email.

I got that email too, semipersonalized, probably about a month after I interviewed.

i got the email at the begining of the month as you had mentioned. while it is not a personal letter, it's nice to know where you stand.

in general, i am hearing back from PDs or chairs via email shortly after the interviews in regards to my "fitting in" at their programs...i imagine this is the norm. so while these contacts have been very personal, i don't take it to mean that i'm all that special.

who knows what it all means.

but as stated, if there is somewhere you want to go, make it known.

It's not necessarily the norm; some programs do this, others do not.

Some wait until interview season is entirely over, others do not.

The only consistency is the inconsistency 😛

Yeah, I have received emails from PDs at 2 of the 6 places I have interviewed so far, so I wouldn't consider it "the norm". Both emails didn't say much other than your typical "thanks for visiting" and "we enjoyed having you". I dont put no stock in these emails (****ty grammar is intentional).
