What exactly is the difference between an MD and an OD? Which brings up the even sadder questions; what exactly is an MD and what exactly is an OD?

Forgive the naivete 😳

use the search button 2 links away from the logout button. Click on advanced search and click "search titles only." As for what is MD, what is DO? go to wikipedia

Also.."naive"....there is a difference between OD and DO. For the difference between MD and DO, look in this forum. For what an OD is, probably want to look in the Optometry forum.

I was expecting the OP to ask "what are the red bumps on my penis" or something to that effevt when I read the thread title...

MD=medical doctor (here's the pills)
OD=optometry doctor (clearer or blurrier?)
DO=Doctor of Osteopathy (here's the pills and a backrub)

:laugh: Now I finally have a way of explaining DO to everyone who asks. If you can receive some sort of witty award on SDN, you get my vote.

If it's a guy who does it and he has a piece of food stuck in his beard, it might fall out while he's manipulating you and you can eat it.

So free backrub

and

free food

...I'm just saying.

MD = Medical Doctor or Physician.

OD = Optometrist or Non-Physician.
