Just curious on some real fast extra curricular activities to do that will plump up the application? Obviously nothing like a years worth of hospital volunteering will work so yeah.. Activities that can be set up fast and be done fast

I think that there is plenty that you can do in this time frame. Shadowing is a great idea and really doesn't require much time. I was able to shadow during some 24- and 36-hour shifts and got a ton of exposure quickly.

Also, you can consider starting something now that will turn into a longer activity. Maybe consider a mentoring program. They usually require one year of service, but no problem with starting it now.

That is, there is plenty to do if you need clinical/volunteer ECs. If you need research or leadership or anything that shows any real continued interest, you've put yourself in a pretty impossible position.

Depending on where you live there are over 9000 places that would LOVE to have your helping hands. Don't spend your days looking at the world trying to see which actions are going to benefit you the most on your med school app.

Shovel food in a homeless shelter.
Volunteer to visit old people in a nursing home.

Any park/street cleanups going on near you? Habitat For Humanity? Anything?
