Hey everyone,

I have noticed in UW that they emphasize 'Emergency Orders' in certain acute cases which are to be done before the physical exam. But I did the USMLE provided 6 example CCS cases and they never mentioned these pre-physical exam orders in any of the cases, and one was an MI.

So who is right? On test day should I put in 'Emergency Orders' if I think they are warrented or always do a physical after reading the history?

Thanks!

thats because the orientation material is lacking it. You ARE supposed to do the Emergency orders for acute management cases prior to physical exam in certain cases.

Always Assess whether the patient required emergency orders on test day .. DO NOT leave it off !
