I graduated from my doctoral program in August of 2018. We had an introduction course on Electromyography and Nerve conduction velocity testing and it really peaked my interest. I was wondering if any other PT's could give me any information on whether or not it would be worth it to pursue this certification in the next couple of years. Some personal experiences? Pros and Cons? At the hospital I am currently employed, we only have one physiatrist who conducts the studies and he is located at least 75 miles away. There is only one other person who conducts these studies in our rural county that is with another hospital system, so there is a market for it here in my opinion. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide for me. Also I can't seem to find much on programs for this besides the American Academy of Clinical Electrodiagnosis. If you know of any others that would also be helpful.
