Wow, that's pretty impressive! Congrats! What other schools did you apply to? Would you mind sharing your stats?

Thanks!

GPA: 3.1 from Ivy League
GRE
Verbal: 660
Quant: 720
Writing: 4.5

Emory was the first school I've heard back from. Still waiting on NYU Wagner, Yale, Boston, Columbia, UCLA, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon 😱

Sophas mailed on 1/12
Emory emailed saying my application was complete on 1/21
I received a phone call that I was accepted on 1/27
The email that I was accepted didn't come until 1/29

Random Emory question: Can you take classes outside of Rollins (but still at Emory) and have it included in your Rollins tuition?

That's a really great question. There is a section on the website where I read something to that effect but it wasn't entirely clear.
Ps...if you submitted a FAFSA check OPUS. I received confirmation of it being received and a prompt to submit additional items(due to my circumstances). Nice to know my finaid is where it needs to be.

Thanks for the tip!

Where exactly does it say whether or not they received our FAFSA?

Its in the to do list section. I also got an e-mail as well. I filled out my FAFSA awhile ago so it took a bit to process. I was pretty serious about getting it in before March 1st 🙂

Yeah, I remember reading something about take classes elsewhere, but I wasn't sure if it was outside of your department but still in Rollins, or outside of Rollins.

Hmm, my fin aid stuff was sent out over a month ago and I haven't heard anything from Emory...I'll have to call them tomorrow.

Yes. As long as the professor approves and you're a full time student, you can enroll in any course taught in any school (grad, undergrad, or otherwise).

SOPHAS mailed my app on 1/20
Got an email from Emory about OPUS on 1/26
Received an acceptance to HPM via email and OPUS on 2/1

Yikes. Emory got my app the same day and I havent heard a thing yet. Can't be a good sign....

For many of the rest of us it took more then a week. It took me three weeks to hear and you're just around that. Many of the early acceptances had to wait quite awhile as well. Don't worry yet!
