I am look for a little advice. If you had to choice between being a clinical pharmacist at Emory University Hospital vs a clinical pharmacist at the VA hospital, which would it be. Both are first shift, pay/benefits are comparable.
VA hands down. My friend is doing a residency at one of the VA locations in NY. He says its awesome. Having a government job is never a bad thing, my dad is a federal employee and its great with the pension, holidays, benefits, etc. Plus, with VA, you don't have to follow any state pharmacy laws. VA is on top of all that, you follow federal law, or whatever the VA practices. Don't pass up the opportunity, especially if its already given to you.
