in your individual experiences, would you say that there is a decent amount on biological diversity (i.e. kingdoms) ? what about the emphasis on plants?

Don't focus too much on the plant section. I heard from students here, there are ~2-3 questions from classification chapter. Focus more on Molecular Biology and Genetics.
