I'll be finishing my residency in 2014 and so I'm trying to get my CV together. Other than my Undergrad, Med school and Residency it's mostly empty. Do potential employers really give a ****? I mean I want to work in private practice not academics. What are they looking for so I can try and beef it up a little. Thanks.

It's OK, list any research or leadership positions in residency. Your cover letter can address what you're looking for in a practice and why you'd be a great fit. You can use that to highlight any special skills, i.e. US guided regional, TEE, etc. I'd tailor it to the group you're looking at, if they do a lot of ASC work mention that you've had a lot of experience doing tubes, tonsils and blocks. If it's a heavy hospital environment let them know you're comfortable with cranis, thoracic and vascular.
