Hello,

I earned my EMT-B certification a while back over a summer, but my certification did not arrive until we were midway through the fall semester. After that, I could not seem to find many part-time/PRN openings that don't require previous years of experience.

Would it look bad if I did not work as an ED Tech/EMT? This will be on my college transcript, as I took the course through my school. I will be doing a gap year, but prefer just working as a scribe rather than recertification.

I'm scared, adcoms will view me as if I am not a committed person, due to this mistake.

As long as you're continuing to do something related to medicine or serving those less fortunate, I'm sure you'll be fine.
