EMT-B classes vary from 8-5 M-F for a little less than month to part-time for a semester or more.

Tarrant County Community College (Hurst campus, I believe) has a very good program.

In the DFW area, you got:
UT-Southwestern
Methodist-Dallas (Oak Cliff, toward Arlington)
Brookhaven College (near 635@35, I went there and liked it)

AMR runs 911 services in Arlington (one of the few non-fire EMS services in the DFW area). They run EMT classes out of Sunnyvale FD (outside of Mesquite). A bit of a drive but might be a solid career move.

A number of private DFW companies run private EMT courses. I went to one because of an advantageous schedule, but it was absolutely terrible.
