I'm filling out TMDSAS...

and they are labeling EMT courses as Other science
does this mean it gets calculated into sci gpa
if so...my sci GPA just jumped about .25

Wow..I never thought of that. I am a couple years from sending in a med-school app..but I studied to be an EMT a couple years ago...I would put that on as other science? I don't even know if I got a grade...weird.

You won't use TMDSAS, my northern Californian neighbor.

yup, for the rest of us, AMCAS calls it allied health...no BCPM bump...

P.S to all you texans!!!!!

and to those who have done EMT
what do you think about this????? I mean...if this is true I am a very happy camper (with 24 hours of EMT credit, all A's)

TMDSAS doesn't even have BCOM (or whatever it is, haha, i'm an idiot)
does anybody out there know how they do it here in texas?

🙂 😀

BCPM i mean, hahahahah

Yep, it counted as science credit when I filled out the TMDSAS! Not sure if it still works that way or not....

Keberson - do you work as an EMT at Texas A&M? I worked for TAMU EMS and TAMU Rec. Sports until May 2002!

hey!!! What's up? I started working at the Rec in Jan of 2003...so a semester after you left. That's pretty cool. Lots of old timers are still here though like T.J and John C. Randy H got into Baylor last year. This year a lot of people got into school...hey, Christy Kiel (tall blond) got into UT Houston so I guess you'll be seeing her around.
small world, huh?

hey...STW
so the EMT worked out for you as science. Did that help your sci GPA? I got my EMT-I, which alone is 16 hours, and I got all As. This sort of thing could REALLY help my GPA. It almost sounds too good to be true, huh?
