I'm taking an EMT class now and would like to work in the fall while back at school. Does anyone know of any volunteer squads, or what ambulance companies to seek employment with in Wheaton, IL?

If I am not mistaken amongst the private ambulance companies Superior has a branch not too far from Wheaton. Pulse is located in Melrose Park. I would do a yellow pages search.

Superior is has a base in Elmhurst, a couple min away from wheaton, and from what I understand, they are always looking for new people. There is also RMT (also a large amublance company) and ACT (a smaller ambulance company).

"medex" is off howard, in the northwest portion of the city. "advance" is also northwest, off elston just north of foster. i've heard "advance" gives emts more bls work than they usually get elsewhere . . .
