I hear programs are sending their offer letters to sign, and confirming their list of residents. It does not hurt to e-mail program director and ask him/her to have you in mind from their alternate list in case anyone drops out last minute.

Last week I got info directly from the program that with the NYU merger, there are many unknowns (tuition price vs. stipend, how many spots they will have, etc.). Until they get things straightened out, they are not going to be doing interviews. They didn't act like they knew how long it would take to get things figured out, but they didn't hint that it would be anytime soon.

I think most programs are waiting for candidates to sign offer letters and complete other admin steps i.e. pass background check,... before sending any email to their interviewees who are waitlisted or not offered a position.

That's what I figured. I was still hoping to find out if anyone on this board received an Acceptance from any of the above listed schools, but SDN probably represents such a small portion of the applicant pool.

It was one of few programs with stipend. I think VA New York should take more than one resident.

Pass is a separate service fee than a school's admission fee. On the other hand, if LMC got your fifty dollars then you should get refunded...I don't know if they will though

They cashed my check about one week prior to me hearing about them cancelling their program. They definitely need to refund the money.

Yea thats worse than when a school cashes your check but doesn't process your application bc they claim the application wasn't complete... how do you charge an application fee when you don't even process it??! My check didn't get cashed...my guess is that you probably submitted your application early. I contacted PASS and informed them that multiple LMC programs will not be offering positions next year. They had no clue and checked LMC website while I was on the phone with them. They should be contacting me again soon. I believe they are going to be giving refunds.

Can anyone share their interview experience? Also, can you share any advice in the application process or whatever you can give to us new applicants for 2016-17? Thanks in advance!!
