In doing endocrine surgery, will you see much diagnostic work, or is this mainly referrals from endocrinologists? Is the number of clients high enough that you can make a living off of this specialty only? Does anyone know an expected salary range for this job?

I assume most of your work will come from the physicians, once surgery has been considered as a form of intervention.

I know two endocrine surgeons, and neither of them just do endocrine surgery. One does breast as well and the other does general. Most of their work is thyroid and parathyroid, adrenal work isn't that common. Salary is probably in the range of general surgery... sorry cant give you an exact figure as this varies from place to place.
