Endodontic lab tips

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Make an access. Find working length. Instrument the canal(s). Obturate the canal(s).

Endo is pretty straightforward tbh. Yeah there's hard cases, but ultimately you're still doing the same steps.

Be organized... Have everything ready such as your files, burs, irrigation, lubes, etc before you access that canal. I am sure they taught you about which burs to use and which files etc... if not let me know, there are a few burs and files that come in handy that aren't taught in dental school..

Learn proper access shapes and locations for molars, it matters. Go slowly, be organized, write your working length and master apical file size on a piece of paper once established. Don't get bleach on your scrubs. Trim your cone with a cone cutter, not arbitrarily with scissors. Save your best teeth for practicals but don't hoard, you don't need a "back up" when other classmates have none. Don't instrument past the apex with any file except an 8 or 10.
