I have two offers currently: one to work as an endoscopy technician at a GI office, and another to work as a medical scribe at a orthopedics and sports medicine office. I'm leaning towards the endoscopy tech because pay is like 2-4 dollars better than the scribing position, and I'd be able to do things like insert IVs and other things I've never done before, but I'd be working like 32 hours a week while studying for my MCAT and taking 4 classes (easy classes but yeah). Scribe would be like 23 hours. I have little to no clinical experience and am applying this June. Does anyone have any idea which would look better on an app, scribing or endoscopy tech? Or anyone have any experience with endo tech?

I think both would look great. GI endoscopy would look more unique for sure.
If you can handle the hours, i would go for the more well paid position - if you get 3 dollars more, that is 384 dollars a month on endoscopy position. Trust me, you will need this money for application cycle, which is crazy expensive.

Admission people on this forum would probably give you a better advice from perspective of "what looks better", but financially - go endoscopy route.

Yes, I could definitely use that extra money in this process for sure! Thank you for your advice 🙂

I agree with the above, I'd do the endoscopy technician position since it pays more and gives you more hours. Scribe also isn't as hands on either. I do scribe for an ENT doc, and I love it, but being an endoscopy tech is more unique and I think fits better to your situation.

I'd do endoscopy tech! I really enjoy being a family med scribe, but everyone scribes and being an endoscopy tech is so much more unique and hands-on.
