I did research in a biomechanics spine lab for about 300 hours over a year. No publications or posters yet but possibly a co author pub by the time I apply
Volunteering (clinical) – Emergency department of hospital, make sure visitors can see their patients on how long the patients have been there and their condition ~ 100 hours
Physician shadowing – 40 hours of DO resident, cardiology and pulm rotations for internal medicine
Non-clinical volunteering - 60 hours of tutoring math and reading for adults in Detroit
Extracurricular activities ~
Student government college of engineering representative. (My school has 27,000 students) ~ a ****ton of hours
Peer Mentor/TA for physics(paid) at school
Class representative on E board of an org BMES
Running for VP for an org (likely will get it hopefully idk anyone running against me)
3 device designs for biomedical engineering classes. Presented posters and design history files (designed a prosthetic leg for a dog , an automatic fall alert system and a force sensor to be implanted in a helmet)
