so at my college, I was able to skip taking English 1A because of my AP test score. So I decided to take Psychology 3 which is a critical thinking class so I can take that instead of English 1B to fulfill my English GE requirement. Okay so this is my dilemma. I was doing some research for some medical school admissions and I'm not quite sure my Psychology 3 class, although fulfills my GE English requirement, fulfills the English prerequisite for medical school. Also, some medical schools don't accept AP credit for prerequisites. So what do you think is the best option for me? Should I drop my psychology class and enroll in English 1A?

I'm not so sure. You can always call a few medical schools and ask if your Psych 3 class satisfies the English req. And then let us know 🙂 Gluck

Cover your bases and take a year of English classes. A lot of schools will accept writing intensive college courses in lieu of their English requirement, but most will still want some part to be from the English department. If you want to ride out your AP course, you're already not going to qualify to apply for some schools right off the bat (they'll still happily take your money though).
