Hi,

I have looked through some admission's website but am still not 100% sure.

In one of the websites, it said "One year of English, leading to competence in the use of the English language. Acceptable courses include speech, composition, literature, technical and business writing, and other writing intensive courses"

My question is,

"Are ther ANY US dental schools that require the 1-year english credit to be COMPOSITE?"
i.e. Taking 'children's literature' course (basically literature) will screw me over?

Thanks.

Western requires a year of English writing, Freshman Writing / Composition and Critical Thinking and Writing, or similar classes thereof - and to my irritation, they wouldn't take AP credit.

so 2 literature classes won't do right?

It might depend on the school, but from what I've seen, they want composition. Call a school you're interested in and ask, that's really the only good way to get an answer.
