How exactly do the med school english 1 year requirement work?
Classes in my college like Communication fulfill the English "core" portion needed in order to graduate. This fulfills my college's requirements but would they count for medical schools' requirements? This Communication class seems like it is not writing intensive and is offered by my school's communication department.
Other graduating requirement fulfilling classes like Poetry are offered in a department branched off of my school's English department but the class does not have "English" or "literature" in its name (though it is writing intensive).
I also have AP credit for a semester English class in my university which I was given credit for and wanted to know if I need to take additional English class(es) to fulfill medical school's requirements?
[I know people will say to call the school or look up what they want, but most of the MDs I'm interested seem to allow AP credit but I am unsure if they allow other department courses to substitute for the english ones]
