Hello,

I graduated from UCLA in 2009 and I plan on applying for medical school next cycle (June 2012). I realized I need one more quarter of English to fulfill the medical school prereq...:scared:

I tried to look on UCLA extension to see if they offer English course but it seems like they only offer English as a Second Language.. Another problem is that I live in Littlerock, CA which is about 2 hour drive without traffic to Westwood, CA.

There is a community college in this area and was wondering if I should take the English course here.

Please help!! I appreciate any advice in advance. Thank you so much.

Take it at a community college. Cheaper and much more convenient for you.

Thank you! So I shouldn't worry about what adcom would say/think about this one English course from a CC?

It's not like you completed the brunt of your degree from a CC. Especially with the condition of the economy, I think it would be foolish for you to invest your time and money to go to a four year institution just to complete a pre-req in English. What matters most is your GPA and MCAT. ECs, PS and LORs are all simply icing on the cake.
